Our Story

Hi, I’m Doris, the mom behind The Craft Patch!
As a mom of four and a homeschooling mama, finding simple, creative ways to keep my kids learning, exploring, and entertained has always been part of my everyday life.
The Craft Patch actually started because of my youngest. I was simply looking for something that could keep my busy toddler entertained for longer than a few minutes—without another screen—when I came across sensory fillers.
I put together a sensory bin for him, and I couldn’t believe how much he loved it. He scooped, poured, explored, and played while I watched something so simple completely capture his attention. That little moment sparked an idea.
I began creating my own sensory mixes, experimenting with different colors, textures, pasta shapes, and themes. What started as something for my own child quickly became something I wanted to share with other families.
That’s how The Craft Patch grew into what it is today: handmade sensory fillers created in small batches with lots of care and a little bit of mom-made magic. ✨
My hope is that every mix encourages little hands to explore, imagine, create, and enjoy screen-free play—while maybe giving another busy parent a few peaceful minutes, too. 🤎
